Just because you're a player doesn't mean you have to flaunt it. We love that Matthew Curtis and Chris Lutes have pretty much flown under the radar since they launched their first place, Miracle of Science, in 1991. Today, they own that and four other popular restaurants: Audubon Circle, Middlesex Lounge, and two Cambridge, 1 locations, the most recent of which opened near Fenway Park this past summer. The two smarties -- they're Princeton and Brown guys, respectively, and both attended MIT for post-grad work -- have a new project slated for the former Greenhouse space in Harvard Square. Details are still hush-hush, but given the pair's track record, we expect something great. In the meantime, is it just us or does Middlesex keep getting cooler and cooler?
