Gates, who spent time as a sales rep selling directly to designers and architectural rms, now offers us amateurs upscale essentials for urban living by top-notch designers like Poliform, Cappellini, Flexform, Varenna, and Tre Piu. And since he’s hawking such great products, it’s not surprising that Gates — who’s also somewhat of a socialite — has developed a loyal following of personal and professional contacts.
