Camilo Alvarez and Alexandra Cherubini“It” couple Camilo Alvarez and Alexandra Cherubini have been major players on the South End scene since their groundbreaking contemporary art gallery, Samson Projects, opened in the neighborhood in 2004. Alvarez, who’s handson as curator and preparator for the gallery, is gearing up for a new exhibition by Rune Olsen, which runs May 4 through June 3 and features a smattering of new sculptures. Later this summer, Samson Projects will also host performances and video screenings that will change weekly. Cherubini, while still a partner in the gallery, lives a double life: her company, EquiFit, which creates ultra-modern equestrian equipment and gear, is making waves in a totally different arena. And aside from their professional successes, Alvarez and Cherubini are, at their very essence, the couple you’d most want gracing the table at your next dinner party.
