About Louisa Kasdon

Had she been sane, Louisa Kasdon could have sworn off her addiction to the restaurant business when she opened a restaurant with a group of friends in Cambridge during college. But she continued on, ultimately becoming the co-owner and operator of three Boston-area restaurants. In a moment of clarity, she abandoned the restaurant business and became a food writer. She lives in Cambridge with her husband, has two grown daughters (each an excellent former server!), and is the 2008 Winner of the M.F.K. Fisher Award for Excellence in Culinary Writing. She is a graduate of Wellesley College, M.I.T., and the Wharton School.
