If it ain't Oak ...

You gotta love a wunderkind. Just 20 years old, Keara Sexton is already running her own retail shop in Back Bay. Oak (31 Gloucester Street, Boston), which stands for "one of a kind," is committed to supporting local and international artisans and selling environmentally-conscious handmade goods. Inside the inviting, homey space, Sexton stocks everything from silk-screened T-shirts made by students from Mass Art to natural bath and beauty products to coasters made from recycled magazines. And starting mid-month, the store's spacious lower level will be home to workshops in knitting, sewing, book-binding, and more. Browse an edited selection of Sexton's goods online at www.oakboston.com.
