We're not suggesting you put off your next mani-pedi until springtime, but here's something to look forward to: MiniLuxe (792 Beacon Street, Newton Centre, 617.332.9200) will open a new Back Bay location (296 Newbury Street, Boston) in April. The spa, known for its top-notch hand and foot care and devotion to cleanliness, also offers mini facials, massages, and, exclusive to the Newbury Street outpost, makeup application. PrivateLuxe, a solo treatment room, offers solitude for hush-hush visitors (read: spa-phobic guys, camera-shy visiting celebs, and those simply craving a little quiet time). Owner Jill Kravetz hopes to have the next Starbucks on her hands: plans are in place to expand the MiniLuxe concept throughout Greater Boston.
