It's been a mainstay at Middlesex Lounge (315 Mass Ave, Cambridge, 617.868.6739) since 2004, but Make It New, a weekly party held on Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., has always prided itself on staying innovative. Its mission remains unchanged - Make It New still features the latest techno and dance tracks on the European scene - but now a trio of new resident DJs have been added to the mix: DJ Die Young, Volvox, and DJezus. There's no need to RSVP, but be sure to arrive before 11 p.m. to avoid the line. Admission is often free, sometimes $3, and occasionally more (but only when a big-name DJ is guesting in the booth). Arrive prepared for some serious late-night dancing; our source describes the room as a "bustling sweatbox of beats, booty, and bass."
