NO MATTER what side of the bar she's on, Liz Oliveira is having a good time. Although she bartends at Mantra a few nights a week, she considers the Saturday-night crowd her favorite; the energy is palpable, she says. When Oliveira isn't at the bar, she's flitting about town, hitting up her favorite haunts at all hours of the night.
@ 6:15 p.m.: I'll start with dinner with my girls and a few drinks. I love chocolate martinis - smooth and delicious. We like to eat at Mistral, Grill 23, or the Four Seasons. I eat lots of steak; after all, I am Brazilian!
@ 7:30 p.m.: I head home to get ready to go out. That means I shower and try on about 100 outfits before I find the perfect ensemble. What shoes to wear is always the hardest part.
@ 9:45 p.m.: We'll pour a few drinks at the house before we head out on the town. Might snack on strawberries with sugar and Champagne while listening to house music, blasting from the living-room stereo.
@ midnight: I'm at the club dancing and enjoying the company of my friends, plus I make new friends every time I go out. I'm always meeting interesting people.
@ 2 a.m.: Easy: breakfast at News. They have the best steak tips. They're awesome. Eventually, I make it home to sleep, but that's just so I can wake up and do it again!
