We love a good hotel lobby bar, but this is the first one we've come across that lacks the actual hotel. Lobby Bar & Kitchen (131 Broad Street, Boston, 617.261.5353), which had a soft opening in December, is an upscale-meets-casual concept that's sure to take the Financial District by storm. The boutique-style atmosphere, from the designers behind City Bar, supports both dining and cocktails and will surely be the site of many an A-list fête. And since Lobby is helmed by some of the same partners as area favorite Revolution Rock Bar, cocktails are top-notch: examples include the Lobby's daiquiri ($10), made with grapefruit and sage syrup, and a house-made Greenway Sangria ($10).
