Eight hours of popcorn, Junior Mints, and John Cleese? The Monty Python geek inside us can hardly contain itself. As the city gears up for a Spamalot run from January 15 through 27, Pythonathon takes over the Brattle Theatre (40 Brattle Street, Cambridge, 617.876.6838) on January 5. The afternoon kicks off at 3:30 p.m. with And Now for Something Completely Different, followed by Life of Brian at 5:30, Monty Python and the Holy Grail at 7:30, and The Meaning of Life at 9:30. Other Python-themed entertainment will be showcased between films, and there'll be prizes up for grabs. Tickets are $7.50 for a single movie and $25 for a day pass; pick yours up at the Brattle box office or get them at www.brattlefilm.org.
