SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18
She's trained in the ear-splitting notes of classical opera, but Shara Worden, a/k/a My Brightest Diamond, believes her brand of experimental indie rock is the most precious gift she can give the world (hence her stage name). With roots in the New York bar and club scene, Worden released her debut, Bring Me the Workhorse, last year; a remix album, Tear It Down, followed in March. Worden's been known to rock the odd superhero cape or ball gown onstage, and her sound is infused with a host of influences ranging from opera to Nat King Cole, Nina Simone, and Portishead. My Brightest Diamond performs tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Remis Auditorium at the Museum of Fine Arts (465 Huntington Avenue, Boston, 617.267.9300); Tom Fite opens. General-admission tickets ($15) can be purchased at www.mfa.org or 617.369.3306.
