If you're part of the arts community in Boston, you've heard of Mobius - after all, the artists' group has been entrenched in the city for the past 30 years, and has produced hundreds of works shown throughout the US and beyond. Homeless since leaving its Congress Street digs three years ago, Mobius was selected to take over a space (725 Harrison Avenue, Boston, 617.542.7416) in the South End's ArtBlock development. All it took were some not-too-drastic renovations and a little cleanup, and Mobius was ready for action; the space opened its doors in September. Future plans include gallery exhibitions, performance pieces, and video installations; Mobius has already participated in its first South End Open Studios, put on a short-performance collaboration called (H)Ours, and is planning a live show/gallery installation, "Gameshow the Game," for November 2, 3, and 4.
