SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27 - SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18
We have two words for you: Jake Gyllenhaal. Okay, so he won't be appearing in the American Repertory Theatre's production of Donnie Darko, but the 2001 cult-classic film did mark the first time we laid eyes on the dreamboat (ah, the memories). ART associate director Marcus Stern adapted and is directing the stage version, which plays a three-week run at the Zero Arrow Theatre (Arrow Street and Mass Ave, Cambridge, 617.547.8300). Dan McCabe takes on Gyllenhaal's title role; Remo Airaldi, Thomas Derrah, Will LeBow, and Karen MacDonald round out the cast. Tickets are $39 to $52; get them at www.amrep.org or 617.547.8300.
