Depressed at the thought of winter's imminent arrival? The Edgartown Board of Trade is offering an excuse to enjoy one last island weekend with the first-annual Martha's Vineyard Annual Harvest: A Celebration of Sea, Farm, and Vine, held October 12 through 14. On the agenda for the weekend are wine dinners, food and drink seminars, and the festival's signature Sumptuous Stroll. And even though you've left the confines of the city, there'll be some familiar faces in attendance: Eastern Standard's Garrett Harker and Jackson Cannon guide a "There'll Be No Wining!" seminar, Rialto's Jody Adams hosts a "Return to the Salon" dinner in a private Vineyard home, and Chris Schlesinger (East Coast Grill, All Star Sandwich Bar) teams up with wine historian Nina Wemyss to present "Pearls from the Oyster." Ticket prices vary by event; for more information, visit www.mvharvest.org or call 508.939.0880.
