SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6 - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 17
At a time when the average attention span can barely get through a half-hour episode of The Hills, Robert Schenkkan's Pulitzer Prize-winning The Kentucky Cycle - a series of nine plays shown in two parts over six hours - has already created such a buzz that it's sure to play to packed houses at the Plaza Black Box Theater (Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street, Boston, 617.426.5000). The co-production between the Zeitgeist Stage Company and Way Theatre Artists, dubbed a "true American epic" by producer and director (and Zeitgeist's artistic director) David J. Miller, tells the story of three Kentucky families over seven generations, from 1775 to 1975. The series's two parts are scheduled either on consecutive nights or as matinee and evening performances on a single day. For tickets ($35 for individual performances and $60 for the pair), visit www.bostontheatrescene.com or call 617.933.8600.
