FOR CHRISTOPHER Myers, opening a new restaurant is like any other day at the office. With heavy hitters Radius, Via Matta, and Great Bay under his belt, he's a pro at juggling a hectic schedule and more than a few to-do lists. So when fiancée Joanne Chang (owner of both Flour Bakery locations) started planning an Asian eatery more than a year ago, it only made sense for him to join in. The pair opened Myers + Chang in the South End earlier this month, giving the restaurateurs an excuse to spend more time together and (eventually) take a night off.
@ 6:15 p.m.: My favorite thing in the world to do is walk. We live in the Leather District, so I'll start by walking over to the ICA with Joanne. I think that walk along water is one of those great iconic strolls in Boston.
@ 7:30 p.m.: I tend to eat in pieces, so I might stop by O Ya for some sushi. It's a beautiful little place that actually has Japanese sushi chefs, and the food is ludicrously fresh. Then I might go to a little place called Suishaya for another couple pieces of sushi.
@ 9:45 p.m.: If I'm starting to feel like I'm going to go out and roar as though I was 20 years younger, I might go to the Trident Café and read a few magazines and get an espresso. Then, since I still want to eat, I'll run over to Nebo for a bowl of pasta and a great red wine from Tuscany. [Owners] Carla and Christine are like my sisters, so I visit them a lot.
@ midnight: I'm going to Middlesex. I think [GM] Jason [Tobin] is one cool dude. And they always have great music.
@ 2 a.m.: I'm never asleep before 2 a.m., so I might try to squeeze a nightcap out of the bartenders at Via Matta. Then I'll head home to watch some Entourage reruns.
