We're not saying we're LA, with stars on every street corner, but Boston's celeb factor is on the rise. In a town where Red Sox players, news anchors, and radio personalities have tended to be the ones on call for event-hosting duties, we've finally begun to attract some of Tinseltown's finest. WaterWorks (333 Victory Road, Quincy, 617.689.0600) recently played host to Kevin Dillon, a/k/a Entourage's Johnny Drama, with a "We Love Drama Party, and über-catty gossip blogger Perez Hilton was accompanied by Lady Sovereign at The Estate (1 Boylston Place, Boston, 617.351.7000) for a Going.com event. In January, after a local concert, Jamie Foxx hosted a private after-party at Venu (100 Warrenton Street, Boston, 617.338.8061), and celebrities have been parading into Gypsy Bar (116 Boylston Street, Boston, 617.482.7799) by the droves, with notables including Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, Robert Iler of The Sopranos, and DJ AM. Now if only we could get Brad Pitt to party on Lansdowne Street.
