Oscar. Karl. Miuccia. Not names in our cell phone, and we're even less likely to find them in our closets. Thankfully, affordable high fashion is on the rise all over our great city. H&M (various locations) has brought us designer knock-off after designer knock-off that look so great on their own, we're only vaguely aware that their inspiration came from someone else. Since January 2006, the GO! International line at Target (various locations) has given us a grab at complete looks, separates, and accessories designed by Paul & Joe, Proenza Schouler, Patrick Robinson, and more, ranging from a mere $9.99 to a still-palatable $149. Next up: the mixed vintage and graphic prints of Libertine. And, if you're willing to make the jaunt to Saugus - yes, Saugus - the Diane Von Furstenburg and Anna Sui imitation dresses at Forever 21 (1277 Broadway, Square One Mall, Saugus, 781-233-2118) will make people look twice, in a good way. Seems the high-fashion gods are finally smiling on us - and our bank accounts.
