Okay, so we're not counting anything produced by Jessica Simpson. But even without them, lately we've noticed a preponderance of celebrities moonlighting as clothing designers. Sarah Jessica Parker proclaimed, "Fashion is not a luxury," choosing to peddle her low-priced line, Bitten, at Steve & Barry's, and Kate Moss for Topshop, sold at Barneys New York (Copley Place, 100 Huntington Avenue, Boston, 617.385.3300), inspired crazy crowds in both the UK and on our side of the pond. Even Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made their first forays into higher style with two new lines: The Row, a couture collection, and Elizabeth and James, named after the twins' two non-famous siblings. We can't forget M by Madonna at H&M (various locations) and Sienna Miller and her sister have a new label, Twenty8Twelve, set to debut this fall.
