We've been ready to love it for years; now the Seaport District has finally begun to live up to expectations as a neighborhood to be reckoned with. Joining old favorites like the Barking Crab (88 Sleeper Street, Boston, 617.426.CRAB) and Lucky's Lounge (355 Congress Street, Boston, 617.357.LUCK) are such varied options as the techno-savvy LTK (225 Northern Avenue, Boston, 617.330.7430), upscale Italian joint Salvatore's (225 Northern Avenue, Boston, 617.737.SALS), the earthy Birch Bar and Sauciety (Westin Boston Waterfront, 425 Summer Street, Boston, 617.532.4600), and, for daytime snacks, Flour Bakery + Café (12 Farnsworth Street, Boston, 617.338.4333). The InterContinental Hotel (510 Atlantic Avenue, Boston, 617.747.1000), with its multitude of offerings, backs right up to the neighborhood, and we're eagerly awaiting Barbara Lynch's trio of new concepts in the FP3 development. For entertainment, there are concerts under the tent at the Bank of America Pavilion (290 Northern Avenue, Boston, 617.728.1600) during the summer months, and the ICA (100 Northern Avenue, Boston, 617.478.3100) has been stepping it up with expanded evening programming. Need more? A number of new projects are in various stages of development.
