We eat as many salads as the next guy, but sometimes we find ourselves in need of a splurge - and in order for something to qualify, it has to be worth the calories. Since it opened earlier this year in Kenmore Square, Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits (645 Beacon Street, Boston, 866.775.8491) has become our new go-to when our cravings get the best of us. It's a tiny place, but it's well worth contending with the frenzied crowds for Popeyes's hot, juicy chicken fried in crispy batter. Paired with creamy mashed potatoes and those heavenly biscuits ... few meals are as perfect. No matter how you like it - mild or spicy, white meat or dark - you won't be disappointed. And while we're sure the rest of the menu is top-notch, too, we haven't been able to tear ourselves away from the drumsticks long enough to try any other dishes.
