SATURDAY, AUGUST 4 & 11
Restaurant L at très chic Louis Boston was such a great space that we were always sorry it didn't have more of a nightlife buzz. But times are changing: now an Asian-influenced steakhouse called Boston Public Meat (234 Berkeley Street, Boston, 617.266.4680), the room is beginning to attract the party crowd with the weekly Savor Saturdays. The evening's soundtrack is international house music - to match the elegant, international clientele - spun by a rotating roster of guest DJs. There are also complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a Champagne toast at 11 p.m. Since the restaurant is located inside an upscale clothier, raid your closets before heading out: jackets are recommended for guys, and ladies should arrive in their best. There's never a cover charge, but for the guest list - which gets you line privileges when the intimate space fills up - and table reservations, e-mail savor.saturdays@gmail.com. Doors open at 10 p.m.
