While we've added a little Downward-Facing Dog, Sun Salutation, and Happy Baby to our exercise repertoire, we're so over holding our poses to a soundtrack of new-age crap. From now on, we'll get our weekend fix from Bill Peregoy at Mindful Dog Yoga (69 Robeson Street #5, Jamaica Plain, 617.524.0627). He's offering The Bends - Yoga that Rocks, an intensive (but beginner-friendly) Forrest Yoga class set to the sounds of Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Stereolab, Sonic Youth, and some of our other favorite indie rockers. The 90-minute sessions are held Sundays at noon - because Peregoy understands it wasn't wheat-grass shots we were slamming until 2 a.m. The cost is $15, or 10 classes for $135; for an extra $5, hang out after class for more tunes and vegan snacks in the Mindful Dog Lounge. Show up sporting a wristband, hand stamp, or any other evidence of a "healthy Saturday-night rock experience" and receive a $3 discount.
