SATURDAY, JULY 12
Ain’t no queen of disco like a local legendary queen of disco. You read that right: Donna Summer was born in Dorchester, and though she’s gone on to top the charts, break records with her album sales, and stretch the boundaries of disco back when disco wasn’t retro, she always comes home. At least, she does when she has a new album to promote. Since Crayons hit the shelves in May, the original bad girl, six decades young, has been back on the road. The disco-turned-homecoming queen will belt it at the Bank of America Pavilion (290 Northern Avenue, Boston, 617.728.1600) tonight at 7.30 p.m. If you’re looking for some hot stuff (a/k/a tickets), get them for $38.50 to $100 at www.ticketmaster.com.
