"AltCom! Alternative Comedy Festival" at the Somerville Theatre

The first-ever AltCom! Alternative Comedy Festival is taking over the Somerville Theatre (55 Davis Square, Somerville, 617.625.5700) for two nights, so be prepared to laugh. Like, really hard. We're talking the kind of laughter that bubbles over when you hear something that you know is wildly inappropriate and you shouldn't be laughing but you start and then you can't stop - and that just makes you laugh even harder. The festival, the first of its kind in the country, features eight distinct and talented comedic voices: on Friday, there's Eugene Mirman, Todd Barry, Emo Philips, and doktor cocacolamcdonalds, and on Saturday, it's Patton Oswalt, Morgan Murphy, Jim Jeffries, and the Walsh Brothers.
