Independent Film Festival of Boston at the Somerville Theatre, the Brattle Theatre, and the Coolidge Corner Theatre

by Heather Bouzan, 04-23-2008

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23 - TUESDAY, APRIL 29
Since we couldn't swing the trip out to Sundance in February, we'll be sure to get our indie-film fix at the Independent Film Festival of Boston, with screenings at the Somerville Theatre (55 Davis Square, Somerville, 617.625.5700), the Brattle Theatre (40 Brattle Street, Cambridge, 617. 876.6837), and the Coolidge Corner Theatre (290 Harvard Street, Brookline, 617.734.2500). Highlights include We Are Wizards, a documentary about Harry Potter-inspired rock bands; Mary Stuart Masterson's directorial debut The Cake Eaters; and Eleven Minutes, which chronicles Project Runway winner Jay McCarroll's first fashion show post-Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn. Pass holders are invited to nightly parties with attending celebrities and filmmakers. With all this glamour, who needs Park City?
