The future of food
We’re constantly on the lookout for the “next big thing.” How nice that when it comes to the restaurant world, No. 9 Park (9 Park Street, Boston, 617.742.9991) has done our homework for us, assembling a team of sure bets to prepare the Boston 2012 dinner on May 5. The kitchen will be swarming with talents who work under the boldfaced names at respected Boston eateries such as Clio (Andres Grundy), O Ya (Yukihiro Kawaguchi), Oleana (Kasey Piuma), and, of course, No. 9 itself (Colin Lynch) — and trust us, they’re all soon-to-be stars. Even the evening’s wine selection will be chosen by Katie Smith, assistant to No. 9 Group wine director Cat Silirie. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served at 6:30 p.m. and a seven-course tasting menu will commence at 7:15. The cost is $175, excluding tax and gratuity; call ahead for reservations.
