Black Grace Dance Company at the Tsai Performance Center

THURSDAY, APRIL 17
If you ask us, male dancers often get a bad rap. Have you seen the bodies on those guys? We challenge any beer-bellied football player or bloated golfer to compete with them. Check out a company full of toned fellows at the Boston premiere of Black Grace Dance Company, performing at the Tsai Performance Center (685 Comm Ave, Boston, 617.353.8725) tonight at 7:30 p.m. The internationally acclaimed, all-male New Zealand-based group melds Samoan, Maori, and contemporary dance - plus some gorgeous ensemble singing - for a testosterone-fueled, dynamic performance that falls somewhere between warrior and fluid grace. Tickets ($35 and $50) are available at www.celebrityseries.org or 617.482.6661. The company has a second show scheduled for April 18 at the Tsai Performance Center, but at press time, it was sold out.
