Great Scotch

Nothing says old-school luxury better than sipping a smooth, belly-warming pour of Scotch. Now that kind of high class is available to us regular folk with a Dewar’s-sponsored Scotch tasting at Vinalia (34 Summer Street, Boston, 617.737.1777). On April 1 from 7 to 9 p.m., participants will sample from five different bottles of Scotch whisky, including Dewar’s Signature and Aberfeldy 21, under the direction of Karen Fullerton, a Dewar’s brand ambassador. She’ll discuss the making of the spirit, Scotch’s history, and distinctions between different types. Enjoy the tasting with a two-course dinner prepared in the Vinalia kitchen ($65) or savor the Scotch solo for $25. Guests can also attend Fullerton’s presentation, no tastings included, gratis.
