New from the InterContinental Hotels Group is the Hotel Indigo (399 Grove Street, Newton, 617.969.5300), located not in Back Bay or the Seaport District, but in the relative quiet of Newton’s Auburndale neighborhood. This is no stodgy suburban outpost, though; the boutique hotel — the first Indigo property in New England — features 190 guest rooms with high-definition televisions, MP3 docking stations, and complimentary wired and wireless Internet access. Still not trendy enough for you city folk? How ’bout a Las Vegas–style heated outdoor pool complete with hot tub, a relaxation deck, and cabanas outfitted with flat-screen TVs, area heating, and fire pits? Yeah, we thought so. See you there.
