Cowboy Mouth at the Paradise Rock Club

by Heather Bouzan, 03-10-2008

TUESDAY, MARCH 11

Trying to look cool at concerts is so ninth grade. If we're shelling out for tickets, we want a sweaty, spirited sing-along that's more party than performance - and judging from the shows we've seen, Cowboy Mouth consistently delivers just that. The New Orleans-based band, playing the Paradise Rock Club (967 Comm Ave, Boston, 617.562.8800) tonight with Cross Canadian Ragweed, truly embodies the Mardi Gras spirit, no matter what the season. They've been on the scene for ages, but it never seems to get old for them - or us. The 18-plus show starts at 8 p.m.; for general-admission tickets ($18), visit www.ticketmaster.com or call 617.931.2000. Can't make it? Get a taste of the band's live show (minus the spilled beer and the tall dude who's always smack in front of you) with The Name of the Band is Cowboy Mouth, the group's first concert DVD, now in stores.
