TUESDAY, MARCH 11 - SUNDAY, MARCH 23
Be careful not to confuse the puppets in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Avenue Q with the ones living on Sesame Street. Why? Apparently there's some sort of puppet nudity involved in the former, which has a two-week run at the Colonial Theatre (106 Boylston Street, Boston, 617.426.9366). A cast made up of people and their furry friends tells the story of Princeton, a recent college grad who moves to the Big Apple and settles into an apartment on the fictional Avenue Q in Manhattan's Alphabet City - the only place his diminutive bank account will support. Princeton and his crazy cast of neighbors work toward jobs, romance, and that always evasive sense of purpose in life; hilarity and naked puppets ensue. Get tickets ($27.50 to $87.50) at www.broadwayacrossamerica.com or 617.931.2787.
