"Let me buy you a drink." Those words are always magic to our ears. Now, a new online service, www.BuyYourFriendADrink.com, lets us make - and perhaps more importantly, accept - the offer from the comfort of home. In only a few clicks, users can purchase drink certificates for friends that are then e-mailed and text-messaged to them; from there, recipients can redeem their gifts at any participating bar or restaurant. More than 30 Boston venues are currently on board, including Domani (51 Huntington Avenue, Boston, 617.424.8500), Red Sky (16-18 North Street, Boston, 617.742.3333), Vintage Lounge (72 Broad Street, Boston, 617.482.1900), and Grendel's Den (89 Winthrop Street, Cambridge, 617.491.1160). BuyYourFriendADrink is also worth considering for your long-distance drinking buddies: the site is already a success in New York City, and plans are underway to launch it in Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Washington, DC, and Biloxi, Mississippi.
