We can't resist a good celebrity gossip blog, but sometimes we're in need of an afternoon time killer with a little more substance. Enter Fashionista.com. Overseen by woman-about-Manhattan and former Fashion Week Daily scribe Faran Krentcil, the site is filled with delicious bites of style-heavy news, trivia, and gossip, plus regular features like knockoff-versus-designer throw-down "Adventures in Copyrights," sartorialist style "Streetwalker," and hotly debated whodunit "Love Is Blind. We Are Not." Many of the posts featured on the site are styled with candy-colored marker, ruled paper, and Photoshop - an ode to second-grade collages that we adore - and it's quite obvious, judging from the caliber of reader comments, that Fashionista's audience is quite the fashion-savvy bunch. Add to that Krentcil's refreshingly snark-free style and unabashedly un-Vogue approachability, and we're hooked.
