Fashion After Dark

You're strolling down Newbury Street on a breezy summer night, and suddenly you see ... a larger-than-life fashion show? Could be, if you happen to pass by the School of Fashion Design (136 Newbury Street, Boston, 617.536.9343) on Wednesdays through August 8, starting at around 8:30 p.m. Created with the help of media types Guerilla Fashion and fashion-show production company Finer Threads, the school's Style After Sunset short-film series captures runway shows of local designers and projects them onto a screen in the school's enormous picture window. On July 18, catch the stylings of Boston classic Fiandaca; or view spring/summer lines by Denise Hajjar on July 25, Myre Designs on August 1, and OKW on August 8. And keep a well-trained eye out for another fashion-related film project, which the school hopes to screen in its window this fall.
